Less AdSense = More Money?
If you are even the least bit familiar with web-based proxy sites, you know that there is no shortage of them. A simple Google search will reveal thousands of them. If you’ve ever wondered why there are so many of them, the answer is simple: money. People create these sites and put ads on them in order to make a profit.
The ad program that is most commonly used on proxy sites is Google’s AdSense. For those of you out there that use AdSense on your site(s), this article may be of interest to you. It summarizes an experiment where less adsense ads on a site resulted in more money in the long run. This happens because if less ads are shown, higher bidding advertisements will appear in those ad spots. The opposite of this is also true, where if you show more ads, lower bidding ads will appear on your page, resulting in a lower CPC - It’s worth a shot, right?

You can achieve the same effect by making sure the ads that are clicked on the most are loaded first in the visitors browser. That way the high paying keywords are clicked on the most, but you still do not sacrifice the occasional low paying click at the bottom of the page.

It’s all about ad placement and blending. as long as you place them in the proper way, only one good ad might do a lot better than 5 wrong placed ads

Exactly what Mike said, people who plaster nasty colour ads everywere wont end up making the money they wish.
Did anyone ever see w3privacy.com older design, that was very very well blended with google ads.

I disagree with you. My old sites had LOTS of ads, and made LOTS more money.
I lowered the ads to 1 banner, and nothing else because it was easier on the users eyes, but let me tell you, those annoying spammy ads make a heck of a lot more money if done properly.
I guess it is the end users preference though.

this depends on multiple factors, it is possible that many adzones to get you better income, but I like to keep it moderate, maximum two zones per page.

Google adsense does make money, but it seems to make websites look cheap. Its not good for the websites credibility in my opinion

Yes but the price of each ad varies, depending on keywords etc. So yeah, sometimes its better to have the max. 3 ads for more click-through-rates.

Has anyone tried googles Vidio Adds. We tried them, had some clicks for about 3 weeks then dropped off to nothing. Google only had about 16 adds and didn’t add any new ones. How did it work for you?

I couldn’t understand some parts of this article , but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.
